Moodboard Ideas + Fashion - Alex

A mood board is extremely useful for establishing the aesthetic feel of the overall atmosphere and layout of my music video. The use of a mood board helps to visualise and structure the specific clothing and colours that were associated in the 1970's e.g open shirts with a big collar and also chino/suit pants that are high waisted. As the style of clothing is retro and vintage we will be travelling to different locations such as second hand shops and charity shops to help us afford an outfit that will appeal and correspond to our desired atmosphere of funk in our music video. At first we planned to not use any green-screen but because of some problems that we encountered we ended up having to use a lot of green-screen but we feel that it turned out very well. However, we did not want to video all of it using green-screen so we used parts of our school where it was quite for our videoing.

    Mood board works for your genre and it shows clearly colour, dance and text will play a part in the video. Extend comments to analyse your images for the mood board please.
    Have you discussed location/ setting? Studio/ greenscreen/ dance studio/ outside/ street scenes?
    If not why not?

Questionnaire - Sam

We have created this questionnaire to help us to understand what kind of target audience we are looking to attract with our music video. Judging by the song choices we have made we will be attracting older people however, this questionnaire will help us to find out if that is true. It will help to get an idea of how well our concept will be received. We will distribute this to 20 people to gain further feedback and we will create a series of charts and analyse the data to assist with the making of our video.

Filming/editing inspiration - Alex

As we enjoy the style of the 1970's Cop Shows we correlated and collected that bright and vibrant colours with an interesting narrative is appealing towards our target audience. We believe that the styles of both the Beegee's and 1970's cop shows correspond with each other whilst linking with the final product that we want to create. The editing aspect of our intentions is very easy such as introducing the characters with their names; we can easily use the software Sony Vegas to edit on a text box on the top layer of the video. Moreover we will apply filters and adjustments that will overlay our video as we want to create the vintage/old looking design such as the TV show 'Chips'.
